I have been in Florida for about a month now and I am absolutely LOVING it. If I had any doubt in my mind that moving here was the wrong decision, it has completely disappeared now. The atmosphere, the people, the millions of opportunities, and the lack of snow have made it an extremely easy decision.

Mimi visited for a couple of days before she flew back to Texas to take care of Papa. I'm sure he missed her home-cooked meals, especially after their long trip on the road. We had the chance to visit the beach and go out to a couple spots with Ang and Wayne including Flip Flops Dockside Eatery and Fishtales. I forgot how much I loved seafood.

After Mimi left I started getting into a routine. I am so extremely blessed and fortunate to have the chance to find a job I will actually enjoy instead of jumping into one I would hate. That being said, I have applied to countless jobs and gone to a few interviews, but haven't found one that is right for me and my future career goals yet. Luckily I'm able to keep looking without worrying too much about money in the meantime.

I have also started nannying for a family down here with a wonderful son named Justin. I've never met a young person who can so easily put a smile on someone's face. It's truly infectious.

I've had the time to enjoy myself and this amazing new place quite a bit as well. My first night out in Miami was a blast, but holy cow... $22 for a drink. Kill me now. That was the first and last time I go out in Miami. I went out with a friend from Fort Collins and his coworkers and we visited a small bar called Tobacco Road with a live band and a much larger, newer bar Taverna Opa. In my mind this was a bigger, slightly classier version of Bondi, where instead of getting drunk college girls up on the bar to dance, they have paid professionals.

We've had the chance to explore and see some new places around the area including South Beach where we had dinner and drinks at Smith and Wollensky's. We walked the beach under the moonlight afterwards. It was perfect. We also recently went to Passion Nightclub at the Hard Rock Resort. Somehow (probably because we looked curious, lost, and confused as hell) we managed to get VIP status. I wasn't complaining. It's like a miniature Vegas, so needless to say it was a blast.

Florida has been absolutely wonderful so far and I couldn't be happier with my decision to move down here. Below are a bunch of pics from my daily beach visits for those of you who don't have Snapchat. ;)
