leaving home

As hard as it was for me to leave Fort Collins behind, it was even harder leaving Texas. It's always felt like my true home and beyond just leaving the area, leaving family is by far the hardest thing to do. I'm going to miss them so much and am already looking forward to their visits to paradise!

Before I left I made it a point to cook one last time as a sort of "I have no money, but thank you so much!" gesture.

We also had a chance to go out to Don Pablo's with LeeLee and Dan for dinner. Papa and I had the opportunity to experience the Chocolate Volcano one more time. I've been taking this past month as a trip through time as I journey into the next chapter of life and this Chocolate Volcano is actually very sentimental (besides the fact that it's a delicious chocolatey mound of ooey gooey cake...) Papa and I shared this delectable creation when Mimi was in the hospital surviving her aneurism. We've never really had the chance to bond emotionally, but we did that night he took me for a late-night treat on our way home.
